We spent a sunny day wandering around Mogán Mall, from the escalator at one end all the way to the fountains at the other, and it is a very pleasant place to spend a few hours, especially when you want a break from the beach. Here is what you need to know before you go.
Where is Mogán Mall?
Mogán Mall sits on the hillside above the resort of Puerto Rico, in the municipality of Mogán in the south-west of Gran Canaria. The address is Avenida Tomás Roca Bosch 9, 35130 Mogán. It is a short drive from Puerto Rico, Amadores and Arguineguín, and around 25 to 30 minutes by car from Maspalomas.

The free shuttle bus
Mogán Mall runs a free shuttle bus for its customers. The route links the mall with the Maspalomas and Playa del Inglés area, with stops including the Yumbo mini golf area on Avenida de Italia and Hotel Rey Carlos. Times and stops are published in a timetable flyer on the Mogán Mall website.
Our tip: download the timetable before you set off and wait only at the marked stops. A few visitors have reported the bus not stopping where they expected, so it is worth checking the latest stop list. If you miss it, the regular Global buses also serve Puerto Rico.

The mall is open-air, so you get sunshine, sea breezes and views of the mountains while you shop. Bring sunglasses and a hat in summer, as the walkways can get hot in the middle of the day.

Yes, if you enjoy shopping or want an easy half day out. It is modern, clean and spacious, and the fountain show makes a nice free evening activity for families. Combine it with a swim at nearby Playa de Amadores or a boat trip from Puerto Rico harbour for a full day.
Getting there by car
If you are driving, the mall is signposted from the GC-500 coast road above Puerto Rico. Having a hire car also makes it easy to combine the mall with Puerto de Mogán or the mountain villages in one day.
