Yes. The south has calm beaches, warm weather all year and plenty for kids, from Wild West shows at Sioux City Park to splash parks, submarine trips and dolphin-watching boats.

Warm all year. Winter days are usually in the low 20s °C and summer in the high 20s, and the south is generally sunnier and drier than the north. It gets cooler in the mountains, so take a jacket on island tours.

It’s good for both. The south has the big beaches and resorts, while a day trip inland takes you to volcanic peaks, pine forests and traditional villages like Tejeda and Teror.
